Brendan

Born in Dublin Ireland in a staunch Irish Catholic Family and raised as such. I always questioned the Irish faith and it never sat with me personally, too many unanswered questions growing up. Months after my father died unexpectedly I discovered a small group of Spiritualists in Dublin SAI (Spiritualist Association Ireland) of with I joined at 19 years of age. I sat in various church and home Developing Circles there and had great teachers guiding me throughout my time with them until I moved to London in 1989 to continue my Spiritual journey. There I joined Lewisham Spiritualist Church in Boone Street, Lewisham, of which I continued to sit in Development Circles week in week out.  Alice French was president there along with her husband Bert. I've visited AFC (Arthur Finlay College)  Stantead Hall on many occasions throughout the years and also visited the SAGB (Spiritualist Association of Great Britain) Belgrave Square, London, now in Battersea London, and experienced many spiritual phenomenon. I met many famous mediums during these times, i.e. Harry Edwards, Gordon Higginson, Mary Duffy, Coral Polge, Glyn Edwards to name but a few but exceptional at their mediumship and great teachers. I experienced their work on platform, their teachings, their philosophy and demonstrations of mediumship, both physical and spiritual, at all levels, and their inspirational work which inspired and encouraged me to work for spirit in as many ways as I could and to be of service to my fellow man throughout my life.

I've read many books throughout my life by various mediums, philosopher's, teachers, guides, inspirational writers which keep me inspired and encouraged to continue my spiritual work, always learning by each person I meet.

I then met my partner and soulmate who he attended and member of the SNU Wickham Lane Spiritualist Church Abbey Wood to which I joined. I continued to sit in weekly development circles for another 17 years. During my time there I completed my H1 SNU Spiritual Healing course and Healing Trainer course. I held committee positions throughout which included the position of Church Treasurer. Throughout all this time I was in full time employment  in Local Government, my last position being Deputy Superintendent Registrar, Senior Registration Officer and Team Manager of Registrar's Services. I joined AbbeyWood Crusaders  Spiritual Church, Harvel Cresent, AbbeyWood just over 7 years now and am a very committed member. I continue and attend my Spiritual Healing weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am qualified U.S Healer, (United Healers UK)which I'm passionate about. I also hold the position of Mediums Secretary at our church and am proud to be part of a community and a thriving church in Abbey Wood. My whole adult life with its highs and lows my Spiritualism journey has been a fantastic one which I'm proud to say has helped and guided me along my life's journey. My Mediumship is always growing and my learning is never ending and I continue to help and do my best wherever I can and continue to serve my church and my community. Long may it continue.
