Spiritualist Healing
How do we define Healing Mediumship?
Spiritualists define Spiritualist Healing
Mediumship as a form of healing by the use of
forces and energies from God directed through
the Spirit world and a Spiritualist healing medium
by the laying on of hands on the body or by the
direction of thought from a distance or by prayer
when the recipient is absent.
Philosophy & Teachings
Spiritualist Healing Mediums carry out
healing in accordance with the philosophy
and teachings of Spiritualism.
Do I need faith or belief?
There is a tendency for people to think that
Spiritualist healing is effective only owing to the
faith or belief of the person requiring this form of
healing; this is not true. A child, animal or
someone in a coma, does not know what faith or
belief is, and yet they receive and can benefit
from Spiritualist healing in the same way as
anyone else. If a faith or a belief is required, then
this is called faith healing, which may not
necessarily have a spiritual context behind it.
Spiritualist Healing requires no faith or belief
whatsoever on the part of the person seeking
help, nor is it necessary for a person to have the
same belief as that of the Healing Medium
administering the healing.
Any requirements?
The only requirements that are helpful are,
that a person should be aware of their own
well-being and that they continue any medical
treatment that has been prescribed by their
doctor. In this way they are receiving the best
treatment from both worlds. The actual healing
itself is one of a spiritual nature and this has an
effect on all levels within a person: mentally,
emotionally, physically and spiritually. Spiritualist
Healing Mediums aim to administer healing to
whoever is in need regardless of race, colour or
creed.
All UNITED SPIRITUALIST (US)Healing Mediums
are trained and Accredited Healing Mediums working
in accordance with the ‘US Healing Code
of Conduct’ and ‘Healing and the Law’, both
issued by the United Spiritualists Fellowship and need to have an understanding of the legal implications.
Healing Mediums undergo extensive theoretical and practical training
which covers subjects as diverse
as greeting the person,
understanding the source of the healing energy,
and how to administer it
and understanding the law in relation to healing.
Is healing a form of Mediumship?
Spiritualist healing is a form of mediumship,
where the medium attunes to Spirit and allows
beneficial energies to be transmitted to the
recipient. The Spiritualist Healing Medium often
has no prior knowledge of the persons state of
health or why the person has come for treatment,
yet often they appear to receive help for the very
condition that has caused them to seek help.
Our Healing Mediums are
trained in three methods...
Contact Healing
Where the Healing Medium seeks permission to
place their hands on to the person, in accordance
to "Code of Conduct" and "Healing and the Law".
Distant Healing
Where healing is sent by the power of thought to
someone who is physically present, but no
physical contact is made with the recipient,
or in the case of "Zoom" or online room, visibly seen.
Absent Healing
Where the recipient is not physically present
and healing is extended to them through the
power of thought.
